How will Tom Luckey's life evolve after a fall leaves him paralyzed from the neck down? An architect by education, Tom developed his passion for creating into a business in which he designs and builds climbable sculptures for children. After his accident, the fiercely independent 65-year-old artist must begin to rely on his son, Spencer, to keep his business afloat and his much younger wife, Ette, simply to survive. Life is not made any simpler by the fact that Spencer and his stepmother are not each others' biggest fans. Tom finds himself still passionate about his art and work, but caught up in the drama of whether decisions he makes are better for himself or his family. As this intimate portrait of a family in transition unfolds, Tom struggles with the question: "What makes a life worth living?"
