Davy Mitchell is a writer on his first book tour. Driving from reading to reading with his younger brother Sean is fun at first, but soon the droning boredom of road life and Davy's melancholy nature takes over. One night, sad and alone in a dingy hotel room, Davy answers an unexpected phone call that changes his life. On the line is Nichole, a mysterious woman with a sultry voice and a taste for phone sex. Seduced by what seems like a fantasy come to life, Davy's obsession with Nichole slowly takes over. Can Davy coax Nichole into a real-life rendezvous, and can reality ever live up to fantasy? Anchored by a great performance by Brian Geraghty and beautifully shot by cinematographer David Morrison, director Kyle Patrick Alvarez's mesmerizing feature debut is is even more remarkable when you consider that it is based on a true story, first published in GQ by "This American Life" contributor Davy Rothbart.
Kyle Patrick Alvarez is scheduled to attend. ** Tickets are $8 each / $6 for Indie Memphis members.
